Supplier code of conduct
We ask every supplier, and the factories they use, to meet these standards. We may ask you to confirm that you do, and we may stop buying from a supplier that doesn't.
The law
Follow the laws of every country where you and your factories operate.
Product safety
- Toys sold in Great Britain must meet the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 and carry UKCA or CE marking, with the maker's or importer's name and address on the toy or its packaging.
- Age warnings, instructions and safety information must be on the product or its packaging, in English.
- Send us declarations of conformity and test reports when we ask for them.
- Tell us straight away about any safety problem, complaint or recall involving a product you've sold us.
People
- No forced, bonded, prison or trafficked labour, and no child labour.
- Pay at least the legal minimum wage, and keep working hours within the law.
- Provide safe working conditions.
- Treat workers fairly, without harassment or discrimination, and respect their right to join a trade union.
Business conduct
- Don't offer bribes, and follow the Bribery Act 2010. Gifts or hospitality to our staff should be small and occasional.
- Give us accurate price lists, barcodes, recommended retail prices, country of origin and commodity codes, and tell us when they change.
- Look after any personal information we share with you, as UK data protection law requires.
Environment
Follow the environmental laws that apply to you, and give us packaging weights and materials when we ask.
