This policy says what personal information we hold, why, and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Fox & Fable Distribution is a trading name of Butyros Limited, registered in England and Wales, company no. 16497512. Registered office: Floor 1, 60 Cheapside, London EC2V 6AX. Butyros Limited is the controller of your personal information and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZB990889.

Whose information we hold
- Suppliers and brands. The names, work email addresses and phone numbers of the people we deal with, and what you send us, such as price lists and account forms.
- Trade customers. What you give us on our trade sign-up form or by email: your name, business name, address, email address, phone number and, if you give them, your website, company number and VAT number. Once we open an account, we also keep your orders, invoices and payments.
- Shoppers who contact us about a payment. If you write to us about a card payment, a receipt or an invoice from one of the online shops run by Butyros Limited, we use your name, email address and the order and payment details we hold to answer you.
- Visitors to this website. We can see your IP address when you visit, because it's needed to show you the pages and keep the site secure.
Why we use it, and our legal basis

We don't sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Google Workspace holds our email, documents and records.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface on this website, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.
- Stripe takes card payments for the online shops run by Butyros Limited. Stripe has its own privacy notice at stripe.com/privacy.
- Our accountants and professional advisers, when they need it to do their work for us.
We also share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC. Some of these services process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK's approved data transfer arrangements.
How long we keep it
We keep accounting records, including orders, invoices and the names and contact details on them, for 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, because tax law requires it. Other emails, and trade applications we don't take forward, are kept only as long as we need them to deal with the matter.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information, though we can't delete records we have to keep by law;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- ask for your information in a portable format;
- object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
Please tell us first if you are unhappy with how we have used your information, so that we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
